Morgan Matthews - Senior Partner

Morgan Matthews started out in the industry as an industrial designer, graduating from Humber College's prestigious Industrial Design program. Following his passion for hockey and sports, Morgan went on to work for several sporting goods companies, becoming a Product Manager and overseeing the design and manufacturing of their product lines.

Expanding on his experience in the sports world, Morgan went on to work for several large product and retail design firms as a Senior Industrial Designer, where he excelled in product design, marketing and display.

This then lead him to start his own industrial design firm, Impact Machine Design Inc. which has focused on working with clients through the entire spectrum of a product, from concept, design and manufacturing.

Morgan also brings extensive experience in the manufacturing sector in Asia, being able to navigate both the business and manufacturing arenas. Through this, Morgan brings a wealth of operational, manufacturing, design and marketing experience to his clients.


Jason Cohn, Ph.D. - Director of Business and Research Development

Jason's passion for sports, and particularly hockey, ultimately didn’t end up in a NHL career, but it did influence his next steps.

With a background in the medical sciences, Jason went on to do his Doctorate in Genetics and Physiology at the University of Toronto. This allowed Jason to gain an intimate understanding of not only how the body functions at a cellular level, but also in the context of exercise and sport. Jason is recognized in his field, publishing numerous papers and developing commercial diagnostic tests that are currently being patented.

At the same time, Jason sought to advance his interest in strategy and management, by working as a consultant to small business helping them develop strategic plans to grow a successful company.

Now as the Director of Business and Research Development at Impact Machine, he is excited about applying his expertise and knowledge to the sports and protective industry in an effort to improve the safety and performance of protective equipment.
